Demolition and Replacement of James River Fishing Pier-Phase 1
Replace the existing James River Fishing Pier with a 24-foot by 32-Foot deck channelward of mean low water, a 12-foot wide open-pile pier extending 1190 linear feet channelward of the proposed deck and install a 12-foot by 40-foot floating dock with associated 30-foot long gangway for boat access along the James River, upstream and adjacent to the Route 17 James River Fishing Bridge, in the City of Newport News, Virginia. Construction of first 900 linear feet by April 24, 2015; construction of total 1252 linear feet by July 23, 2015; and final complete no later than Aug 27, 2015. Have since been awarded Phase 2 of project.
