The Hampton Roads Coal Association’s Annual Holiday Dinner is always a highlight of the season, and this year’s 53rd celebration did not disappoint! Crofton was recently featured in the Chesapeakeville, a journal of Virginia Seafood, Waterman, and Maritime Culture written and published by Timothy Thompson. A native Richmonder and a passionate Virginian, Tim is a lifelong writer, story-teller, and marketing specialist dedicated to our state’s historic Chesapeake seafood, waterman, and maritime culture. The article focuses on founder Juan Crofton’s personal journey that led to him starting a diving business with a friend, Crofton’s evolution of services and capabilities, and the people that make it happen. The 600-ton 4600 Manitowoc Ringer has returned from assisting with the demolition and replacement of the Bonner Bridge in North Carolina and will be receiving maintenance in preparation for its next project beginning in July.
