HR Specialist – Talent Acquisition & Career Pathing

Crofton is seeking a Human Resources Specialist for Talent Acquisition & Career Pathing to join our team.
The Human Resources Specialist for Talent Acquisition & Career Pathing will source, attract and prescreen prospective employees to find the perfect match for the company’s long-term goals. They will play a key role in developing and implementing Career Pathways companywide. This role will be crossed trained to assist in running the daily functions of the Human Resources department including onboarding, administering HRIS system, benefits and other company programs.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Recruits, tracks, and documents new candidates in compliance federal and state laws and company hiring procedures and policies.
- Focuses on matching candidates’ experience, certifications, and skill sets to the position requirements.
- Attends job fairs and recruitment events in the community
- Builds relationships to create candidate pipeline
- Collaborates with hiring managers to forecast recruiting requirements
- Handles all aspects of the recruitment process.
- Interview, gather and organize job knowledge, skills and abilities data to create career paths.
- Collaborates with Training committee and other divisions to identify training needs necessary for career pathways.
- Define and develop career pathways companywide
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including compliance, benefits, leave, retention and morale.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and external sources referring matters to the appropriate staff.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Enthusiasm for Talent Acquisition and building sourcing relationships.
- Ability to work within an applicant tracking system
- Must have knowledge of Affirmative Action Plan requirements and compliance.
- Ability to speak and represent the company at hiring, recruiting, marketing and other networking events with ease and professionalism.
- Exhibit exemplary client service skills, to all people, regardless of level.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and related systems.
Education and Experience:
- 5 Years of experience in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources with 150+ employees
- Experienced in developing career paths is required
- Formal human resources training and or education program
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP or SHRM SCP certification desired
- Familiarity or proficiency with Sage CRE300, Bamboo HR is a plus.
- Industry knowledge of Marine Construction is desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the facility.
