Trash Gate Replacement

Project Description: Crofton Industries was contracted to replace existing trash gates. The project commenced with the mobilization of 12 sectional barges and Crofton's 35 ton rough terrain crane. A stop log was fabricated prior to demolition for the replacement process. Demolition of the existing gate was accomplished by first removing hoist mechanisms and wire saw removal of the gate concrete header. A work platform was then installed on the downstream side of the trash gate to allow safe access to the gate spillway area.
